S&P Global Ratings appoints Mar Beltran as senior director for infrastructure practice

S&P Global Ratings has appointed Mar Beltran as Senior Director, Infrastructure Sector Lead, Infrastructure Ratings.

Beltran, who will be based in Madrid, joins from Australia-based Global Infrastructure Hub where, on behalf of the G20, she led policy work to identify priority reforms in infrastructure markets. As a senior director, Beltran advised governments of both developed and developing economies on governance, regulatory frameworks, planning and delivery of infrastructure initiatives.

Prior to this, Beltran spent a decade at fund management firm, AMP Capital. Leading a team that managed infrastructure, retail and institutional investor portfolios totalling approximately US$4 billion, Beltran was responsible for investment decisions, asset management and client relationships across several infrastructure investments and funds.

Her previous experience also includes positions in senior origination and asset management for construction group, Ferrovial, and transport group, Cintra. Beltran has sat on several infrastructure boards as a non-executive director, for projects including Melbourne Airport and Sydney-based Reliance Rail.
