BNY Mellon-sponsored Tacitus Debate features in TXF

HyperFocal: 0

Following the 29th annual World Traders’ Tacitus Lecture on “a new international monetary system in a new world order”, a panel of experts – including Simon Derrick, chief currency strategist, BNY Mellon Markets – gathered to discuss the question of whether international monetary policy and global foreign policy should be inextricably linked. The debate resulted in a  great deal of interesting discussion, and among the points raised were the fact that the world becoming increasingly globalised is making achieving the ‘right’ policy approaches increasingly challenging; and interlinkages between monetary policy and foreign policy implications are becoming more extreme.

TXF was granted access to the event, and the full write-up of the discussion can be viewed here (free TXF subscription required).
