In conversation with Euromoney, BNY Mellon’s Corporate Segment Market Manager, Joanne Scheier, discusses the importance of relationships between corporates and cash management partners. With the revelation that four out of five participants in this year’s Euromoney cash management survey believed their cash management operations and partnerships had helped improve the overall efficiency of their businesses, such relationships (and the ability to win and retain mandates) are more important then ever.
Scheier explains that “It’s a people business. As a rule we would not do a cold pitch, as there needs to be an understanding of the client and their future needs for a proposal to be successful.”
