Although the commodities market played no part in the financial crisis, it may affect the next one, cautions Natixis’ Head of Commodity Research

In an interview with FIA Europe Derivatives 2015, Nic Brown discusses why the markets will move back towards deregulation, allowing banks greater freedom to once more compete on a level playing field. Brown cautions that once the market does enter a period of laissez-faire, commodities should remain an essential part of the underlying economic framework – despite being overshadowed by financial and equity products.
