Standard & Poor’s has released February’s edition of Infrastructure Outlook, its monthly newsletter rounding up all the key ratings updates, news and commentaries relevant to the infrastructure and project finance sector. This issue focuses on infrastructure investment needs across the globe; U.S. Chief Economist Beth Ann Bovino explains how targeted infrastructure investment could result in significant GDP gains, while Credit Analyst Michael Wilkins looks at the potential success of EC president Jean-Claude Juncker’s infrastructure plan, and whether the pipeline of over 2,000 projects is more than just a ‘wish list’. Among other topics, this month’s edition also addresses Italy’s sovereign downgrade and the effect this has had on a number of Italian utility companies’ ratings. Moorgate has been producing Infrastructure Outlook since 2002.
