Commerzbank study shows that Sub-Saharan Africa is defying the weak global economy

Commerzbank released a new edition of its Renaissance in Sub-Saharan Africa study this week, which concludes that the “crisis resistance” of the region has further increased. The study shows that Sub-Saharan Africa is thriving in the face of the economic crisis in Europe, in part, thanks to its low dependency on exports to Europe and also for its abundance of raw materials. Yet the size and diversity of Sub-Saharan Africa’s economies raise a number of questions for foreign businesses and investors.

Following Moorgate’s outreach, the study was picked up by gtnews, Jeune Afrique and Trade Finance magazine.
