World Finance publishes Natixis commentary on Abenomics

In a guest commentary for World Finance, Kohei Iwahara, economist at Natixis, evaluates the effectiveness of the ‘third arrow’ of Prime Minister Shinzo Abe’s economic revitalisation package for Japan. Following the introduction of expansionary fiscal and monetary policies (the first two arrows), Iwahara writes that this third initiative needs a second look – because so long as the Bank of Japan continues to face challenges to meet its 2% inflation target, improvement in the country’s potential growth rate is likely to be limited.
